Fr. Luke LaFleur was born and raised in Alexandria, LA where he attended Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic School and Holy Savior Menard Central High School. Afterwards, he studied at Louisiana Tech University and finished with his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. It was then that he decided to enter seminary in order to further discern the call to priesthood – a calling which he felt since Jr. High. He graduated from the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, OH and was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Alexandria in 2018. Before being assigned as pastoral administrator of St. Juliana, Fr. LaFleur served as parochial vicar at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Natchitoches, St. Rita in Alexandria, and St. Joseph in Marksville. Fr. LaFleur also serves as the Director of Vocations and Seminarians for the Diocese of Alexandria.
